Little Ewe has been around for a little while but has recently become popular after being given a starring role in the latest moonpig.com TV advert. This in mind, Little Ewe's creators felt it was time for him to have his own website not only as a promotional tool but as a place fans could find information and download cool Little Ewe stuff!

Last week I made another update to the Forever Friends Facebook app which now allows users to send animated 3D bears as well as the the existing static images.

The new animated bears are similar to those seen in Forever Friends eCards, but Hallmark have had these created specifically for the app.

The most significant part of this update is that users of Facebook can now play the animations directly on their walls.

Graphically it still has some way to go but my main focus to this point has been the backend programming, navigation, structure and templates.

Hallmark asked me to build them a simple Facebook application that not only allows users to post Forever Friends Bears to their friends profiles but also engages them with the brand.

For the new year refresh of the Forever Friends website, Hallmark asked me to design and animate the January homepage. The themes were staying in touch with friends, promoting Hallmark's Print on Demand service and introducing the new Forever Friends Desktop Buddy.

Stockton Borough Council had comissioned design gurus Design ink to produce a design led marketing campaign for their connexions project.

Design Ink asked me to produce a simple, user friendly CD-ROM to aid Connexions advicers and help visualise the process of giving advice.

When I first joined Crown Greetings (a Hallmark company) I was asked to look into adding value to Hallmark's eCard offering through games and interactive design. By a happy coincidence Macromedia had just released Flash 5 which intoduced keyboard interaction and a much stronger version of Actionscript.

Rathers than providing just your normal colouring in printouts for users I wanted to create something a bit more interactive and creative.

My solution to this was a cross between a digital colouring book and a picture creator.

After playing a few versions of this style of game online I thought its concept would be perfect for the Forever Friends website.

It is simple, fun and appeals to all ages. I built the main game engine, added a high score system and then styled it for the Forever Friends website and later the Hoops & Yoyo website.

In 2006 MSN asked Hallmark if they could create a viral game to help generate interest around the World Cup. The deadline was tight. It was the middle of May and the world cup finals were due to start in June, but I knew I could probably build on an experimental 'kick up' style game engine I had already built.

This game was given to me as a basic concept with mostly just the graphics in place. I reprogrammed the main game engine, added a scoreboard and integrated it into the Crown Greetings website to create, what was to be a very popular game at the time.

Hoops & Yoyo has been a major licensed property in the U.S for several years. It started life as a small web based property, but it's unique style of comedy fused with modern Flash animation soon saw the the brand become a household name and high street success story.
I was given the task of producing a website to house Hoops and Yoyo here in the UK.

This was my first project (after some Barbie cards!) after joining Hallmark Cards after Crown Greetings. tippi was Hallmark's latest cute character which they felt could benefit from a strong online presence. I built the full website using PHP and MySQL for registration and site personalisation.

When I moved to Hallmark's Bingley Road office in 2002 I was given the task of redesigning the Forever Friends website was party to some neglect. Work on this project was slightly delayed as I was set to work on the tippi website first as this range was going to print and needed a new site!
